Congratulations to Angela McCasland for being chosen as our May 2016 Woman to Know.
Angela McCasland is the owner of Angela’s Closet Treasures, helping people overcome the overwhelming task of downsizing, moving, and organizing while helping them sell those unwanted, unused items. She started organizing for her mother after her father passed away in 2011 and thought that selling a few items on eBay would not only be fun but a way to take some money back from the items. Well, her friends took a liking to this idea and asked her for several years to start a business doing just that, selling items that they no longer wanted. A friend in 2015 started to refer Angela to people whom were moving and Angela’s business began. As the referrals kept coming in, Angela decided to leave her full time job and create Angela’s Closet Treasures, LLC.
She has organized several garage and estate sales and has been with her clients every step of the way. Angela has helped in closing law offices and doctors offices and has helped them with the selling of the furnishings and equipment. Donating and giving back is important to Angela as she has donated to several organizations in the capital district such as Capital Region BOCES, Girl Scouts of America, Friends of the Saratoga Springs Library, Saratoga County Animal Shelter, and several outreach centers throughout the capital district. Keeping waste out of the landfills is also something that Angela is passionate about so Angela recycles shipping materials as often as she can.
